  • My Carers: As you are searching for Babysitters that meet what you’re looking for, you can favourite them by clicking on their profile and selecting “Save for Later” and they’ll be added to your My Carers page so you can easily view their profile later.
  • Mobile-Friendly Design: Whether you’re at your desk or on the go, Caresies.co.nz adapts to your device. Its mobile-responsive design ensures that you can manage your babysitting schedules seamlessly, whether from your phone, tablet, or desktop.

5. Set the Pay Rate

Managing Babysitter Payments With Caresies

Caresies makes managing babysitter payments straightforward and transparent. The platform allows you to manage all payments to your Babysitter directly through the platform so that no cash needs to change hands – making it easy to pay your Babysitter.

1. Processing Payments

Payouts are always authorised by Parents, and never system-generated, meaning that you are always in control of any amounts paid to your carer.

There are three key steps for payouts:

  • Pre-authorise & Activate the Payout: This will place a pre-authorisation charge on the credit to provide confidence to the carer that funds are available.
  • Change Work hours: These can be done when there is more, or less, hours than were initially agreed upon.
  • Pay Carer & Complete Cycle: This will finalise the work days and process a payment through to your carer. If the job is longer than 7 days, a new payout cycle will begin and the steps can be repeated.

All payments are managed via Stripe which is a secure platform for managing payments. Payouts usually take around 4 working days from the parent to the carer.

2. If you need to make changes

If the hours differ from the original job offer sent to your carer, you can update them before processing payments.

To adjust the hours, start by activating the payout cycle under the Payouts section for the relevant job.

Once activated:

  • You can modify the hours for each day worked, increasing or decreasing them as needed.
  • When you're finished, click Update Hours.

After the payout cycle is completed, simply select Pay Carer & Complete Cycle to finalise the payment to your carer.
